new fossil find

Totally cool stuff, guys! another fossil was found and the findings were published in Nature and Scientific American two days ago. The fossil is of a 3 year old Australopithecus afarensis. You may have heard of the most popluar A. afarensis fossil: Lucy. This new fossil has been coined “Dikika Baby” sheds more light into the locomotor and vocal capabilities of this species.

I would suggest you check out the Scientific American article and the flash diagrams- super interesting!!! Also, National Geographic has a really cool multi-media experience.

september and still alive

not too shabby, i must say. september has been very good to me. connecting with (old) friends, sloughing off older horses, creating new relationships. sigh. it is oh so good. so good that i am not even stressing about wokr that much. school seems managable. now if only i could muster up enough courage to write that letter. or see the accountant.
