things and stuff about family

yesterday, the whole Taylor family got together to celebrate nana and papa’s 50th wedding anniversary. everyone was there from mom’s side of the family. i can’t really remember the last time this happened. actually, i don’t really know if it ever happened… i think the last time the whole family was together Josiah and Trina weren’t born yet.

at any rate, the lunch was a huge success. we all had a lot of fun and had the opportunity to tell nana and papa how much we love them and what a legacy they have left for us in front of the whole family. it was great.

come to think of it, i don’t think that i have ever enjoyed a family gathering as much as i enjoyed this one.

funny, it reminded me of how i once felt. once upon a time. in a far away land when i was a little girl and family meant warmth and love and security. before the veil of innocence was lifted from my eyes.

i’ve posted some photos of the event here

but then i went to the hockey game with both josiah and david. that was a riot. josiah drove and that was great- i can’t believe how good he is. although we lost the game, i had the time of my life. i can’t wait until they all move back to bc.

hmmm, is it starting to feel like family again?
