home again

its good to be back. but it was also great to be away. New York was fabulous and inspiring. I am in exam week right now but am taking a few study breaks to slowly work on some photos that I took in NY. Check out my flickr page for updates.

spring is on it’s way

as i was walking to my anthro course (critiques in anthropological theory and ethnography) this afternoon i was struck at how fragrant the rose garden is already. last week, the roses were covered in snow and now the buds are starting to pop.

… sitting in the koerner pub last night, trying to finish my classical studies reading for today’s discussion, i overheard a great comment from a professor who was playing pool with a couple of his grad students:
“reach up high and lower the bar!”
