sometimes getting on a plane is more than just flying across the world; this time it has meant a lot of “me” time…to walk, read, think, and reflect.
today i wandered around montmartre again, feeling somewhat lonely as i was expecting to be joined by my sister.
funny how two words can put such a huge smile on my face :D
it is 06:30 in the morning and i just arrived back home after experiencing nuit blanche – i’m almost speechless. paris is such a wonderful city and this night was a true example of how it does not shy away from the arts. paris embraced creativity and culture all night long- from 7pm to 7am city in a city-wide exhibition of modern art! i’ll probably write more on this later but suffice it to say i am inspired!
earlier in the day aimée met up with me at the clock status outside of saint-lazare metro. after an obligatory coffee, we set out on a long stroll through the city, gazing (gawking)at the opulent architecture and public art, window shopping, eating food, catching up along side fountains, and generally having a great time!

i have two days left in Vancouver, then it’s boujour Paris! while there is so much still to do, i can’t shake this excited feeling. instead of heading to the bank or the laundromat i find myself wanting to “express myself” like Audrey Hepburn:
