Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre provides support to survivors of sexualized violence and advocates for social and systemic change through education, outreach, and activism.
Salal needed a website that matched the strength and care of their existing brand: one that survivors, donors, community partners, and the public could navigate with trust and ease, while reflecting Salal’s core values of being survivor-centred, non-judgmental, and inclusive.
The resulting website gives Salal a dignified, accessible online home that holds the full complexity of their work — from direct survivor support to Indigenous programming, victim services, social change, and fund development.
Our work together elevated Salal’s profile to match their real capacity giving survivors, donors, funders, and community partners a clear, trustworthy entry point into the organization’s work.
Accessible, responsive navigation means survivors can reach critical, life-saving information safely and without barriers.
And for funders and donors, the site builds the kind of trust that translates directly into increased donations and long-term support for Salal’s mission.
“Working with web designer Jamie Leigh, our new mobile-first site is now accessible, has more white space, and a calmer user experience, so survivors can decide for themselves what path they wish to take. Whether it’s Immediate Support, Ongoing Support or our Indigenous Support Program, you can learn more about our trauma-informed, intersectional approach and access these resources with so much more ease than before.”

Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre
Built within Salal’s established brand guidelines, the site brings their mission to life in a way that is warm, clear, and trauma-informed in its design.
Whether a survivor is looking for support, a donor is learning about impact, or a community partner is exploring collaboration, every visitor can find what they need without friction.
