Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre is a feminist, anti-oppressive, decolonizing organization operating on unceded Coast Salish Territories.
They provide support services to survivors of sexualized violence, including women, Two-Spirit, trans, non-binary, and gender diverse people, and advocate for social and systemic change through education, outreach, and activism.
When Salal first contacted me, their existing website was inaccessible, lacked mobile-responsive navigation, and no longer reflected their dynamic brand identity or the depth of the work they do every day.
The redesigned website elevates Salal’s profile to match their real capacity.
Built within Salal’s established brand guidelines, the site is warm, clear, and trauma-informed in its design — every page giving survivors, donors, funders, and community partners a trustworthy entry point into the organization’s work.
Accessible, responsive navigation means survivors can reach critical, life-saving information safely and without barriers. For funders and donors, the site builds the kind of trust that translates directly into increased donations and long-term support for Salal’s mission.
