A Top Holistic Health Coach Consolidates Her Online Presence

Linda Bourdelaise is a board-certified holistic health coach who was named one of the top three health coaches in the Washington, D.C. area and has worked with Congress to demonstrate the positive role that health coaches can have on the U.S. healthcare system. She’s certified with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and now coaches IIN students from around the world; she also co-founded the WellBody-Lifestyle, an online nutrition and healthy lifestyle program. In other words… she’s a totally inspirational woman who has more energy in her pinky finger than most of us do in our whole body!

When Linda reached out to me, she had four affiliate websites and one program website, but none of those sites truly represented her or her personal brand. Her online spaces were scattered, confusing, and didn’t demonstrate her highly sought-after expertise as a coach, trainer, speaker, and educator.

Linda wanted to feel proud to share one website that encompassed her proficiency and offerings. She wanted her website to do the work of visually introducing new prospects to her and her brand so that they could take the next step with trust and ease.

The Process

We started with a discovery call where I got to know Linda and her business, offerings, clients, style, and aesthetics. From there, I created a guiding document that distilled our discovery call findings, and a mood board to set the tone for the project.

Next we moved into the design phase. I proposed a colour palette based on her mood board, client needs, and business goals. I also create three logo options and fonts to go with them. This was a very collaborative process where Linda shared her feedback through email and Skype calls.

Once we finalized Linda’s logo, colours, and fonts, I created a 17 page Brand Guidelines document. This document helps everyone who represents and/or works with Linda to understand her brand’s pillars, visual elements, clients, and more. It also helps to inform all future design decisions!

Then we put the new visual identity to work as we hashed out the website specifics, sitemap, and site design mock-ups. Linda and I discussed the design mock-ups and how they would meet her goals; from there I went to work developing her website.

The Results

The above images are the result of our eight weeks of creative collaborative partnership.

In addition to a custom WordPress website, I also designed an ebook for Linda’s lead magnet, and a custom stamp with her logo.

Linda’s new brand and website is clean and fresh, and integrates all of Linda’s offers in an accessible and authentic way—just like Linda herself.

In Her Words

“I’m so excited I can hardly sleep! I love, love, love your process, our discoveries, and my mood board. Thank you for walking me so expertly through this process and being my guide through the decisions. The website looks awesome and feels just like me. One of the most important things this website design has done for me is given me the confidence to ‘get out there’ with my work. Now I really feel like I’m in business!”
