How to turn comments off in WordPress pages and posts

Ever write a post that you just don’t want to open up for comments? Write a page that you’d LOVE for folks to comment on? In this week’s WordPress Wink I’ll show you how to turn those comments on or off in WordPress pages and posts.

First, navigate to the page or post that you would like to enable or disable comments on. If you don’t see the “Discussion” section below your editor, click on the “Screen Options” tab on the top, right hand side of your browser window. Select the “Discussion” check box.

Next, click “Screen Options” once more to close that section, and scroll down the page a bit. You should now see “Discussion” section below your page or post editor. Simply select the check boxes to allow comments:
