Screencast: how to build a facebook opt-in form

by | Jun 3, 2015 | Strategy

What’s the first thing you do when you visit someone’s Facebook page you’ve never seen before? You like it, you scroll through a few posts, and then you leave, never to see it again unless by some miracle it pops up in your feed.

That happens to your Facebook page every day.

Think about how many leads you’re losing.

Did you know that your brand’s message is 500% more likely to be seen in an email than in a Facebook feed? What if you could capture every Facebook visitor’s email address and deepen that relationship?

By instantly capturing your Facebook visitor’s email addresses, you’ll KNOW your brand message will land in their inbox—instead of crossing your fingers and toes and HOPING you show up in their feed.

In this video, I’ll show you how to create a Facebook opt-in form and install it in an app on your Facebook page.

Here’s the basic steps:

  1. Log in to MailChimp
  2. In MailChimp, select “Account Settings”
  3. Select “Integrations”
  4. Select and log in to Facebook with MailChimp
  5. Choose your list
  6. Choose a theme
  7. Label your App Tab
  8. Create a custom app icon

Congratulations! You’ve now got your own custom branded MailChimp opt-in form on your Facebook page!
