The easiest way to stand out online

Building a website and marketing your new offerings online can be overwhelming.

There are so many different opinions about how an online business should be run, formulas to follow, best practices to heed.

You know what I think is the best way to stand out online, to really set you and your offering apart from the rest?

Be yourself.

You are the only you and THAT makes your offering extremely unique.

Jason Silva creates inspiring existential videos called Shots of Awe — he refers to them as “Philosophical Espresso Shots” — and this one recently sent an invigorating energy through my body. He starts by pondering this sentence:

So if the latest trend in social media just doesn’t feel right? Don’t do it.

Your heart is really pulling you in a direction that you’ve been told is career suicide? Dive in.

Being a visionary means you’ll be inspired to do things differently, you’ll see an angle that no one else does, and you’ll wander down a path that has been over looked.

And you’ll so enjoy it.
